Flow with your fellow yogis

Frequently Ask Questions

What is The Online Dojo?

With The Online Dojo classes, we can all flow together – even when apart. We’re streaming yoga and sculpt classes live, straight to your home, seven days a week! You will move, sweat and breathe together with your fellow yogis in real time led by experienced TheOnlineDojo teachers from across the country.

Which Online Dojo classes are offered live?

At this time we offer the same C2 and Sculpt classes you’re used to in studios, live.

Try a C2 to strengthen and balance your body and mind as you move through challenging postures with connected breath. Or add strength training and cardio to your yoga flow to boost your metabolism and build lean muscle mass in Sculpt.

Can others see and hear me in class?

Having your video on is optional. To fully connect with your classmates and teacher, we encourage you to turn your camera on!

You will be automatically muted upon entering the room, but feel free to unmute before or after class to ask questions. Out of respect for your fellow yogis, we ask that you keep yourself muted during class.

Will the class be recorded?

The Online Dojo Live classes will not be recorded.

What timezone will my class be in?

All classes are listed on the schedule in Mountain Time – be sure to consider your time zone when booking your class!

Here’s a cheat sheet:
Pacific Time: Subtract 1 hour
Central Time: Add 1 hour
Eastern Time: Add 2 hours

I am new to yoga, can I still take class?

Our (virtual) doors are open to everyone, at every fitness level, no experience required; you must be at least 18 years old to create a The Online Dojo Live account and participate. Classes open 20 minutes before start time so you can connect with your teacher to ask questions and get comfortable. If you are new to yoga, listen to the cues, follow the movements of other students, take breaks and always remember it’s practice, not perfect.

How do I reserve a class?

  1. Check out the Live schedule and reserve your class
  2. To complete your reservation, you will be prompted to set up an account and purchase a Drop In or 5 Classes in 30 Days package
  3. When your reservation is complete, you will receive a confirmation email – this is not the link to your class
  4. Your teacher will email you a Zoom link 20 minutes before class starts
  5. Log into class and get ready to flow

If you’re having trouble reserving in Safari, open your Preferences Privacy tab and uncheck “prevent cross-site tracking.”

If you require general support contact ZoomLink@theonlinedojo.com.

What gear is required for a The Online Dojo Live class?

All that is required for The Online Dojo Live is yourself, a mat, an internet connection and a computer or mobile device. Classes are hosted using Zoom and optional playlists available using Spotify. For Sculpt classes, weights are optional.

How should I set up my home space for class?

Find a quiet space with few distractions. Give yourself a couple feet on each side of your mat to move around. If you can, set up your camera so that your entire mat is easy to see. Here are some extra tips to create your home practice space.

Do I need a webcam for class?

A webcam isn’t required but we encourage you to have one, as it will allow you to fully connect with the community. You’ll help motivate your fellow classmates and you might even get a shoutout from your teacher!

Can I play my own music during class?

Yes. No music will be played during class. This is your time, so you’re welcome to choose your own playlist instead! Your teacher will share a suggested Spotify playlist in the Zoom chat function before class starts.

How can I stop my Spotify Playlist from playing out of sequence?

Make sure you’re not in shuffle mode. To fix this, select the first song on the playlist, click the bar at the bottom of the app (where it shows what song is playing) and toggle the icon from shuffle to sequential.

I am new to Zoom. What do I need to do?

You can simply access Zoom from your web browser to participate. You can download the Zoom app or set up a Zoom account to join class but it isn’t required. If you have trouble, please visit the Zoom FAQ. Visit Zoom’s privacy policy here.

Make sure your internet connection is working. If that isn’t the issue, try restarting Zoom. If you’re still having trouble, please try the Zoom FAQ or contact us at ZoomLink@theonlinedojo.com.

Do I need a fast internet connection to take a Live class?

Most internet connections, broadband or wireless, should be acceptable.

What if I lose my connection during class?

Internet connections can be unstable or lose connectivity. If you get disconnected during a live class, reconnect using the same Zoom link you were emailed before class. If you need additional technical assistance, contact ZoomLink@theonlinedojo.com.

Why does my video keep freezing?

Live classes may freeze if your network bandwidth is low. For a seamless connection, check that your speed is at least 1.5 Mbps.

How can I fix sound issues I’m having during class?

The volume level will vary depending on your device and internet connection. Try adjusting the volume controls on your computer, mobile device or speakers.
